Some Musings
The above picture comes from a book of Nostradamus quatrains. It was published in 1975. Here is an interesting quatrain:
The dart from heaven ends its circuit
Some die in mid-speech, a great killing
Stone in the tree, a proud nation humbled
Noise, a human monster, purged by expiation
And here is a great anthem. It's great to sing. Really.O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
"Many that live deserve death. And some die that deserve life. Can you give that to them? Then be not too eager to deal out death in the name of justice, fearing for your own safety. Even the wise cannot see all ends."
